Originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia, Hani obtained her BS in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. In 2020, Hani graduated with a PhD from UC Berkeley, where she focused on the design, fabrication and assembly of walking silicon microrobots using MEMS technology. Now, she is once again working with Kristofer Pister, developing a six-axis controlled, electrostatically levitated 1g mass system.

David Hahn

David Hahn is currently pursuing a PhD program in Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley. Prior to joining UC Berkeley, he was a Mechanical Design Engineer at OFS (Optical Fiber Solutions) FITEL in Atlanta, GA. He received BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.

Peisheng He received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley in 2020 and 2023, respectively under the supervision of Prof. Liwei Lin. He is currently a post-doctoral researcher in Professor Liwei Lin's lab as a Bakar Innovation Fellow.

Johannes graduated from Lund University, Sweden, with a Masters degree in Engineering Physics which also included one year at UCLA as an exchange student. He has work experience from BorgWarner, ON Semiconductor and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Apple. Johannes is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley where he is working with Prof. Ming Wu on MEMS and silicon photonics.

Naoki Higashitarumizu

Dr. Naoki Higashitarumizu is a postdoctoral fellow in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley, with a joint appointment as a postdoctoral fellow in the Materials Science Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received a Ph.D. in material engineering from The University of Tokyo in 2020, and was a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Tokyo in 2020. Dr. Higashitarumizu then joined Javey Research Group in September 2020.

Hyong is a Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences Department at University of California, Berkeley. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Univeristy of Pennsylvania in 2023. In his undergraduate research, Hyong studied quantum emission from strained 2D materials, ferroelectric field-emission transistors based on AlScN/2D material heterostructures, and scanning probe characterization of 1D-2D material interfaces.
