ABSTRACT
Agilent is a global leader in analytical instrumentation, software, and services, supporting scientists and engineers in addressing complex challenges across life sciences, pharma and biopharma, clinical diagnostics, advanced materials, and food and environmental analysis. With a legacy originating from Hewlett-Packard (HP) and operating independently since 1999, Agilent combines decades of expertise with a commitment to advancing analytical science. Our portfolio includes innovative tools and technologies such as mass spectrometry, chromatography, spectroscopy, molecular analysis, and informatics solutions, which are widely used in both academic research and industrial applications.
This presentation provides an overview of Agilent Technologies, highlighting our core areas of expertise, global impact, and commitment to scientific advancement. It will also cover Agilent’s innovation strategy, including our University Relations and External Research programs, which support investigator-led academic research through funding, collaborative initiatives, and access to state-of-the-art instrumentation.
Additionally, specific examples of technological advancements will be discussed, showcasing how these innovations have been integrated into Agilent’s product portfolio and applied to address critical scientific and industrial challenges.
BIO
Nahid Chalyavi is the Associate Vice President of University Relations and External Research at Agilent. In this position, Nahid leads Agilent’s efforts to build strong partnerships with universities and support research efforts that drive innovation across several key scientific areas critical to Agilent’s mission. Before stepping into this role, Nahid was R&D Director in Agilent’s Spectroscopy Division, where she oversaw product development and new product introductions, helping to bring advanced spectroscopy technologies to market.
Nahid holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Sydney, Australia, and has a background that blends scientific expertise with a passion for turning ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.
