Host: John Huggins

Coventor offers two different MEMS software platforms for academic and research purposes at BSAC. The overview will address both tool suites by comparing and contrasting use cases as well as comparative advantages.

MEMS+®, Coventor's platform for rapid evaluation of MEMS and MEMS+IC MEMS+design, enables MEMS designers to explore device concepts and optimize designs much faster than using conventional field solvers. It also bridges the gap between the accuracy required by MEMS designers and the simulation speed required by ASIC designers with a common model for MEMS and ASIC co-design that eliminates months of engineering effort. MEMS+ 4.1 features tight integration with world-leading electronic design tools like Cadence Virtuoso™, MATLAB™/Simulink™ and direct Verilog-A export.
CoventorWare®, the industry's most widely used MEMS design suite, consists of a 2D/3D design front-end plus complete coupled thermoelectromechanical analysis back-end. Together, they form an integrated end-to-end design solution. CoventorWare® is robust and arguably one of the most efficient solutions featuring easy to use pull-down menus plus automated 3D model and mesh construction.
